Cats and Tarantulas dont mix!

No casualties yet, but Lori about murdered Eri when she found a leg and nothing else of her A. metallica (it showed up the next day hiding behind the blinds).

our really naughty tortoise shell cat knocked over a small deli cup that had a B.smithi sling in it which then got killed by its own substrate, So i agree cats and T's dont mix

My cants were trained from day one, they dont go into the bug room unless im in there and when they do they only get to sit on the floor or my lap. Or if I had a door to that room and I didnt trust my cats I would do the senseble thing and close the door.

is it one of thos folding doors thats more like a big curtain than a door?

yeah I hate those curtain style doors aswell lol they can be moved from the bottom far too easily, it might be worth replacing witha wooden sliding door

could you attach those hook and eye type looks to the top and bottom of the door? that would keep the kitties out unless they can figure out how to unlock them.
