I'm always on my desktop, so the habitat sits on top of my 19" monitor... nice and cozy.

Infrared heat lamps work great for heat,but can dry out the sub pretty fast if its a tropical tank.

good old heat mats are good and pretty cheap to run.

a heat mat. Have it half the size of the tank. So there will be a cooler and warmer side. Stick/strap the heat mat to the side of the tank...OUTSIDE and not underneath
