| I get clear spray paint used for the clear coating And it acts like invisible glue.
Or you can use hairspary.

| If you do it while they're fresh and not dried out they are very posable.
To get the tail in an upward position I spray-stick them to the padding I use then I hang them sideways so their metasoma arcs forward and spray them like that.

| Even with thick hairspray layer they wont preserve well. I use hairspray let it dry for about a day then use puzzle glue. I bought mine at the 99cent store for 50 cents (haha) and it's basicly really thick clear glue to keep jigsaw puzzles in place. | |

| oh never sorry to hear about ya loss. You did your best for her.
I find that cheap normal hairspray doesn't do a very good job. Something like good quality extra hold stuff does the trick. Never tried puzzle glue I might have to give it a try.

| Deaths suck. I just lost my stingerless emp and 3 tarantulas all in the last couple weeks. It has me nervous considering I'm buying something very very rare in the next week that if it dies I'm out more than one of my paychecks. I'll let you guys know what it is when I get it. Combine that with my rat, Jack, about to die too and I'm devastated. | |

| I've preserved scorpions in sealed glass containers filled with isopropyl alchohol. And it seems to work pretty well.
And there are places where you can take scorps, pedes and tarantulas to be preserved, But expect a hefty price tag.

| The problem with just leaving them in a jar of alcohol is it's not very aesthetic. It just looks like any other preserved scientific specimen then.
Drying them and posing them makes specimens much better for display purposes -- also, unless you have a rectangular jar with flat surfaces, you'll get a distorted view of your specimen in alcohol.
