| Before we even hit the campground we spotted a spider from the car and stopped...we're still undecided if it's a tarantula or a calisoga...or possibly even a trapdoor. Anyways pics up ahead. We set up camp and me and brother hiked back to the road we were on to blacklight the cliffs and sure enough we caught about 20 scorps in about 1 hour and spotted about 50 that night alone. I was done for the day so I went back to camp were I met up with the rest of the group and we went looking for more calisogas and t's for a few hours. Not much success in catching those however. We headed back to the camp and a combination of my borther snoring 30-40F weather and my insomina didn't let me sleep so i spent the whole night hiking along the riverside. In the morning we headed to town for annual Coarsgold Tarantula fetival where everybody brought their t's. They apperenly are seen wandering the roads around this time of year(pic ahead). That night we played a few card games and went hunting for more scorpion with Erick(aka Crash) We caught about 20 more and my blacklight died out. To avoid over collecting we set a limit to how far we would blacklight. Meanwhile the rest of the group realized there was some burrows a few feet from out tents and started digging up more calisogas/tarantulas. The next morning we headed back into town for more tarantula hunting and we ended the day with some fishing. | |

| Awesome bounty, Eddy! What species? And what's up with the bandana? I thought the last time people thought you were in a gang you wound up with a saucepan souvenir. | |

| It kept my face warm. I've been having allergies lately so I figure it would help but it ended up being my face wamer along with a beannie and a hoodie. I beliece the species is S. gertchi. I'll get positive id's soon. | |
