Tonight we had to clean out some of the smaller additions to our collection.

I made a makeshift tent with the kids table, a white sheet and the light unit from the top of my scorpion tank, kinda did the trick.

So here they are: -

I'm impressed to see some of those species out of their homes and not in strike poses! lol!

Very nice spiders!

well when we got the cyriopagapus out it reared in slow motion... then decided it really couldn't be bothered and sat nicely for me. It was the only one that strolled out of it's jar and strolled back in like it was trained lol

The poecilotheria (my personal fave), I was the most wary about with their reputation. Anyhow it came out ok, posed nicely for the camera. then when we tried to get it back into its jar it legged it. then took a strike at my right index finger. however years of drawing have put a callus on that finger so it didn't break the skin thankfully. It may be small but that was no reason not to be wary lol.

They all pretty much behaved themselves. And when we clean the substrate it's the best time to get a proper photographic record of them (plus it's good practice for me too Smile )

Hopefully next time i will have a proper table top studio. the light from the strip light was a bit blue. But it worked well enough Smile

cheers hun Smile

All but the rosie are juvi's. I can imagine how much fun it will be when they are all adults!

I want to get some better ones of the Evil Nasty Haplopelma 'vietnam' sp at some point. Preferably before we put the male in with the female in case he chokes it afterwards!
