How long until it sharpens?

How long until their telson sharpens after they molt? My 4i emp molted roughly a month ago and her telson is still dull and white/tan looking. Does it usually take this long or was it a bad molt? ;x

sharpens? as in the aculus? hmmmm.... I think it is always sharp, all my scorps have sharp stingers, and one of the lil' dudes just moulted yesterday and his telson is sharp.

ahhhhh you mean the colour. I thought you ment the stinger was blunt

well if the scorp is not alone there could have been a small fight and damage was don to the stinger. i have 4 Emperors in my community tank and sence i have put them together there has been a claw chip at the very tip of it and a stinger clip so its blunt. but all the emps are healthy and breeding. If it is not Sharp as in pointy it wont stop it from having a good life

It was sharp before she molted. Now its not. Btw, she's alone in a 10GAL (until my B. jacksoni scorps mature next month). I won't worry about it, though

Im pretty sure its still sharp. They dont loose sharpness. Do you have a pic? Remember it will still stay cream colored untill it matures.

Nope, I don't have a pic at the moment... I'll try getting one sometime. There's not a sharp point to it like it used to be. Its definitely blunt ;x

I think its just because its growing.
