Subject: How long in pre-molt 3/11/2013, 8:33 am
I'm sure this was covered but I couldn't find it. All my new scorps are in pre molt. 9 forest, 2 desert,. How long before they molt? Is it different for every species? They are set up properly through alot of help from the forums. Huge thanks on that. I'm just curious since I haven't seen them since I've set them up correctly. Thanks

It really depends on species, conditions, and what your definition of premolt is. What species do you have? If they start looking like little blimps or sausages and can barely move I would wager they have a molt within the next few weeks if the conditions are right. If they’re just looking kinda chunky then it’s really hard to say.

Gotcha, the forests look like they're going to explode. The orthochrius looked ready tp pop but I haven't seen it since I put it in it's enclosure. That was about two weeks ago. The bicolor is really fat but still a little active.
