| its been about three days and theres been no sign of my scorpion. usually i can see it hiding in a cave and it comes out every night but ive seen nothing. its still yet to be identified but its most likely an Androctonus sp. so i dont want to really go in the tank and move stuff around just yet. im hoping its not dead in a burrow or something. any suggestions on what to do? | |

| Sniff around and if you smell something dead then dig up the corpse, otherwise it is acting like a normal scorpion.Feed it as usual but if the prey "piles" up then dig it out but it might be molting if it is not adult so tread lightly. | |

| Molts usually take a few hours. If you haven't seen him in a couple days then don't worry about it. If he is molting then he will come out for food. If it had babies then you should leave it alone anyways. If the scorpion was not gravid and a week or two has passed I would start looking around to see what you find. I've had scorps take months to start to smell after they died. | |

| if you are really worried, have a gentle dig around. And I mean very gentle! Spoon out...small bit by bit until you find your scorpion xxx | |

| well he finally came out last night at about 3 AM. i just thought it was so weird because every night for like the past month he would come out at about 9 PM and if not i was able to see him waiting to come out in one of the caves. but at least now i know what to do if he goes missing again. thanks | |

| Glad you found it. I hadn't seen my SMP for about a week, so i had a careful dig about. The burrow had collapsed so gently got her out. not worse for wear im pleased to add. The Male SMP had been digging and filled her burrow in... plonker! | |
