| Cool lookin' additions. As for humidity with H. paucidens, they like it really dry. Juveniles may need some extra moisture for molting and such (probably why the species is difficult to rear), but adults don't. | |

| ^90% of the time they're boring (like most scorps). I have a female that went on a "stuff my face" kick for a few weeks, so that was pretty entertaining. They've got a lot of attitude for having such pathetic venom, though. They get pretty nippy. Also the only species I've been stung by. | |

| its a 50/50 sand and soil, i think this is better, and gives the scorpion digging opportunity And it looks a little better than just sand and gravel | |

| Okay, i think this is a little wierd.. I have lost 7 scorpions, 3 of bad packaging, 2 the same day they did come, and 2 last night (one of canibalism, understand that) but, the rest o them, the 6 others. A friend of mine thinks that they where dry'ed out, but i dont think so, because, i drip water i different places in their boxes every night, to prevent drying out. in the room its about 25-28 celcius. And the scorpions are eating and all that, so it think its wierd.
Is it just a typical scorpling phenomenon? or is it something i do, that ar wrong?

| Sometimes scorps just die . . . with juveniles, it seems more common. It's probably just the weaker individuals that wouldn't survive well in the wild.
If you have strong ones surviving, you're keeping the captive gene pool healthy.

| If you're keeping them properly, then it's not your fault. Some species are known to have lower survival rates than others, too. | |
