| Okay so i'm already planning on catching/buying a C. Vittatus when I go to West texas but I was also looking into Jacksoni's. Should I wait to get the Vittatus before I get the Jacksoni or what? | |

| Hmmm why not go for both? if you get a C.vittatus for free why not just collect a couple and save your money and buy a B.jacksoni? jacks is pretty easy to keep, but i cant speak for the C.vittatus i dont have any first hand experiance.. | |

| Too me Jacksonis are just a red centruroides. Everyone always chooses them over vittatus, but I enjoyed my Vittatus more. | |

| You can fit a bunch of C.vitts in a 2 gal and 2-3 Bjacks. Bjacks are pretty cool. | |

| No problem most of us here like answering questions and some just like asking them. I would get two just because I believe theres no point in owning a scorp unless your gonna breed them. Mature males have more bulbous chela than the femeles. I believe there is thread here somewhere. I would look for it but I'm heading out to lunch. Try to search it or Iheart has some pictures I believe. -Eddy | |

| If you buy them as sling they're pretty cheap. Adult usually go for 23-25 so 20 isn't bad. | |

| Thats seems more reasonable. I dont use water dishes. But the few times I do I usually add some drowing rocks. | |

But would a 3/4 of an inch jacksoni be easy to care for? | |

| I got five B. jacksoni as a mix of 2I and 3I for $5 each -- two made it to adulthood, one male and one female. (One subadult female died for reasons unknown, one from a heavy mycosis infection, and one unsexed runt died immediately after a molt without ever hardening.) My adult female took about seven months to go through her final molt after the male matured (females have one more molt than males), and my male died without impregnating her. I still have the female. Here's a shot of them trying to mate -- they were together for two weeks before he died (in March) and she hasn't shown any signs of being gravid. You can clearly see the bulbous chela on the male. Here's a shot of my male with one of the females, before she reached her final molt. They're almost identical in size but you can still see the difference in chela. | |

| I got 5 mixed 3i's from Adam, too, but the 5th was a freebie B. jacksoni's are cool scorps. All of mine seem to be molting around the same time (weeks apart). I just hope that they don't die on me | |
