| Numbering system. I have searched the forums but cannot find what the 1.0.1 number in front of a scorpions name means. I have found it here before but cannot seem to locate it again. | |

| OK found it finally and by accident. Why do we not include the instar status with this number by the way? | |

The numbering system is just for listing the number of each sex of invert you have. Also, the number of instars can vary from male to female, as well as species to species. In addition to that, some arthropods continue to molt throughout their entire lives, so the instar numbers become meaningless after some point. | |
