The rule of thumb is that they are communal until they are not. They may get along, they may not. Keep them together if they are the same size and there is PLENTY of space and at least 2 hides per scorp. If they are both males they may get territorial. If they are male and female, they may mate if conditions are right.
How big of a tank are you going to use? I would say 1 scorp in a 5 gallon, 2 in a 10, 4 in a 20 etc. I just had my scorp give birth to approx. 12-15 scorplings. Once they come off moms back I am moving all the scorplings to a 10 gallon, until they become old enough to go back with mom again which I will house them all together in a 20 gallon. Once the juveniles begin to mature to adults I will start separating them and or selling them.
