| No, definitely not an emp.
Either a Heterometrus laoticus or a Heterometrus petersii. If you can get a clear shot of the carapace I can tell you which one.

Yup, not emps alright. You've been had! Haha, yep. It's a good place to get some knowledge for a novice that got some powerful little dudes. However, mine are pretty docile. They will show you when they're done being toyed with Your best guess at which type they are? I can try to get better photos today.

| Heterometrus spp. If these were wild-caught imports then chances are your female is pregnant | |

I would need a clear and fairly close up pic specifically of the carapace (head) to be sure. I need to be able to see the granulation (or lack of) on the carapace.

Any other things I should see from a possibly expecting mother? In a way the probability of her being gravid makes me excited. Little scorplings are very cute.

I will try to get a better picture, but keep in mind that it's only a camera phone. *Unless* I can borrow my girlfriend's mom's really good camera. Either way I will try my best!

| Looks to be a Heterometrus laoticus as I don't see any carapace granulation. | |
