| https://www.youtube.com/v/jhhLmx3Og38 I put her into a "feeding box" with a gecko. No hesitation; she hammered it immediately. Took her (2) hours to finish it.

| I thought as long as it wasn't gory like guts hanging out every where? This seems pretty conservative compared to some of the feeding videos I have seen. | |

| Scorpionforum Rule #2: - Quote :
- Do NOT post graphic photos or inverts eating verts
If you have a predatory vertebrate where mammals are in their natural diet, feel free to post feeding photos, but if there's any gore, please link the photos instead of directly showing them, AND include a "graphic" warning in either the link or the thread title. A snake with a mouse sticking out its mouth is fine, a monitor lizard with rat guts hanging from its teeth is not. And if you like to feed your T. blondi mice, go ahead, but don't post about it here. Those threads always result in flame wars. I'll allow a link to the youtube and add the disclaimer myself.

| I'd also like to point out I do not agree with feeding verts to inverts. It's a pretty cruel death for vert, puts both animals in danger, and is not necessary for the inverts diet. Does it happen in the wild? Yes, but not a necessary part of the diet. -Eddy | |

| edited 1 time in total (Reason for editing : Video got sucked into the ABYSS) Sorry I meant to comment on your last post about feeding her the gecko but lost track of time. It's much safer, and less painful for both predator but most especially prey, to feed inverts to your scorpion. Emperors don't sting their prey as adults, so that poor gecko (this goes for pinky mice too) can't be put out of their misery. They're just pulled apart by chelicerae until they die. It's as painful as it is gruesome. So please keep that in mind. | |

| My bad. Wasn't trying to offend. I'm a newbie here. If the moderator can remove this, please do so. Thanks. | |

newbie here. If the moderator can remove this, please do so. Thanks. It's no big deal really, we only wish to make this place a safe learning environment for other beginners here. Anybody who comes across this thread now knows that vertebrates are not the most appropriate feeders, and that videos should be labeled for their content. That is all. Again, not a huge deal, I'll leave the link to your video. If you haven't already read the forum rules, I would suggest doing that. Some of the rules in there aren't as strict as the other ones, but they should still be followed accordingly. Thank you!

| We're pretty lay back here, no one is getting banned or suspended unless there is a really good reason. People learn from these types of thread and although I can't stop you from feeding verts to inverts I can at least tell you why it's wrong and hope you never do it again. | |
