'Giant Hissing Scorpion' Heterometrus spp ID help

I acquired four of these at a show about eight months ago, they all came in individual tubs labelled up as Giant Hissing Scorpions. The seller didn't even know what spp they were. Its obvious its a Heterometrus spp but anymore than that I could do with some help please!!

That being said, I'm pretty good at identifying Heterometrus, and if you'd like, you can email the pics to me for a faster response.

I can't see the pics either... Hmm... Hissing scorps are usually Opistophthalmus spp though. Is it black like an emp or is it more brown/tan/mahogany?

Actually, my emperor scorpion hissed a lot. If he bought it as a "Giant hissing scorpion", it might be a Heterometrus swammerdami, they hiss a lot too.

Interesting. I've never had an emp hiss before. Didn't know they did. I've always seen the Opistophthalmus as the ones marketed as specific "hissing scorpions". Here's another good thread...

Btw... Oropher, how much did you pay for your scorpions? If it was not terribly much and they end up being H. swammerdami, you got crazy lucky. They're normally a pretty penny.

Worked that time. Black telson Either H. laoticus or H. petersii probably. I just learned from IDing my own on a separate thread that petersii have these tubercles on the arms. Can you get a good close up picture of the chela and the segments of the arm by it so I can see the patella?

No need for another pic, it's 100% Heterometrus petersii from the granulation on the carapace.
