Hey guys! I swear I had an account on here before but it no longer exists so I don't feel like a noob to this place lol anyways, after pairing my female and newly acquired male, I am slightly confused. The female tracked down the male and initiated a mating ritual - locking claws, pushing back and forth ect. Strange, I know, but it does happen and the female is a female xD - after that the male initiated all the rituals, by juddering and constantly trying to position the female to lock claws. I even observed him trying to literally turn the female completely around to face him, it was interesting but she refused every time.
So.. two options -
1. She was already gravid before coming into my care.
2. The first mating ritual was successful and that's why the female lost interest. I found no evidence of mating though, however at that time I didn't have the piece of breeding slate in the cage (had just dug it up at 9pm yesterday to put in for the night) so maybe I just missed the mating evidence in the substrate? they messed it up so it'd be easy to miss the tiny signs of breeding no?
Thoughts/Opinions are greatly appreciated. Updated pictures of the female are available upon request as well.
