trying to learn more about scorpions senses.....

does anyone know if scorpions can hear ? do they have good vision???? do they see heat ??? i know they can feel vibrations but thats about all i know....do they have a knowledgable brain cuase i think they might be mad at me for not feeding them for a week or two. i usually feed them all the time but they take forever to eat the crickets so im taking a week or two off from feeding them and i think they have some kind of brain and know that im the one that feeds them and they might be upset for not getting crickets this week ......

Scorpions cant hear but they can feel vibrations very very good they can also feel airflow,their eyesight is horrible at most they can see to feet away and then its only a big blurry shape.As for it being mad at you its not,they dont get angry but they do all have different personality's and as for them having a good brain in my opinion their brain is all based on instinct i could be wrong though hope this helped in some way

yeah but they can probably feel the vibration of my voice when i talk to them.... can they smell ???

Yes they can feel your vibrations but it wont comfort them in any way.As far as i know they have no sense of smell i could be wrong though.

whats 1.1.0 P.imperator mean ? the 1.1.0 part how many is that ?

0.0.0 means male.female.unknown,so if someone put 5.0.0 that means they have five males zero females and zero unknown.

just wondering .... what do u feed your P. imperators.... roach or cricket ??? i feed mine crickets.... do yours take forever to eat the crickets too ????????? i haveto leave the crickets in there and they disapear slowly, do u have the same problem ?

I feed my emp's 90% crickets and 10% roaches i mainly use roaches as somewhat of a treat.Yea emps can be very slow when it comes to eating its nothing to worry about though once they decide they are hungry they will eat like champs i normally put 6-10 crickets in the cage for my two adult emps and just leave them in there till they are all eaten,but my emps wont molt anymore so i dont have to worry about the food items eating my pets.

i do 4 of mine are only medium size and the other one is pretty small, but i dont know how else to feed them other then leaving the crickets in there, im just going to keep an eye on them to see when they molt and then take the crickets out.....

Maybe change the diet around a bit and feed some roaches. They wont attack your scorp if you forget them in the tank with them.

Nah my scorp takes awhile to eat crickets too. Sometimes he likes pinching them with his claws and chasing them slowly round the tank. Other times he gets them pretty quickly.
Scorps can live a long time, so I think they can be pretty smart. Mine will walk over if it sees me.
Personally, i think some scorps do like being talked to. When mine is in my room, it will "listen" if ive got music or a video playing. I had a cricket last year which really liked watching videos, it would come to the edge of the tank and look at my laptop screen.
I think it depends on the creature though. Just like some people hate and like certain things.

Regarding their eye sight, are scorps like short sighted people? cause im very short sighted, anything beyond 4 inches is blurry for me.
