1.Here is a look at some of my communal group of Centroides vittatus. If you look a 3 o'clock you can see a 2i scorp.

2.In this pic you can just see the tale of a male that had just molted. Lower left side. You can also see a 2i scorp at 6 o'clock.

Right, and to think the adults aren't more than 2.5 in. or 6.4cm depending on where you live. Thanks, btw!

Nice scorpions tfleming Wink So you let the instar 2's share the enclosure with the adults..Do you experience any cannibalism with these scorps and how do you ensure the young get food?

Are these scorps local scorps for you? Their colouration reminds me a bit of T.stigmurus.

Thanks all. Den, I can't say for sure that the adults don't cannibalize any of the young, but I try to keep the adults well fed. I use what we call over here "extra small" crickets to feed the little guys and let me tell you these little guys are veracious little scorps. I have 2i to 7i, but I've never seen one eating another. Most are lost during molting. I've seen them go after crickets that an adult has already taken down. I get these right out of my yard. In 1 night with in a 5 minute period I counted 11 scorps in my drive way.

Extra small crickets..That must be what we call micro crickets Wink .. I breed my own crickets and roaches and right now have thousands of micro crickets..Unfortunately i don't have any scorps small enough to eat them just yet so they are in the warm getting a touch of turbo growth Wink

Impressive and i'm not at all jealous .. not Wink .. Yeh, i suspected you could probably pick those up locally. Apart from Centruroides vittatus do you find other scorps locally?

Diplocentrus diablo is the only other scorpion I've seen here, although there a reported 20 species in Texas.
