| My newest arrival I loved my Grosphus ankarana so much I decided I would dabble a bit more with this genus. This can also serve a how to sex grosphus thread but I’m working on a caresheet that will be more detailed. Grosphus grandidieri female 1 Top view G. Grandidieri Female 1 Pectines (notice the enlarged pectine tooth found ONLY on females) G. grandidieri Female 2 Top view (nicknamed Tails) G.grandidieri Female 2 closer view of damaged tail. G.grandidieri Female 2 Pectines (notice the enlarged pectine tooth found ONLY on females) G.grandidieri Male top view. (Slimmer bodies compared to females) G.grandidieri Male Pectines. ( Notice the longer brushier teeth and the enlarged tooth missing) G.Grandidieri group size comparison Female 1 and Male under UV Female 2 (Tails) under UV | |

I was told that they were seen mating shortly before they were shipped me. If it was successful or not I’m not sure. They were given a flat surface to encourage mating and I will remove the male for a few weeks and reintroduce him to see if they’ll mate. I guess it’s just a waiting game. And hopefully “Tails” won’t have any problems mating with that damaged tail.

| Beautiful species! It will be fun to see if these wander like the G. Ankaranas. Look forward to hearing about these. Congratulations! | |

She had a bad molt but seems to be fine, only scorp I've named. Kinda grew on me.

I WANT ONE!!! They're a pretty neat shade of black they have matte color with a glossy telson so they contrast nicely. But I still love the ankarana's better for two reasons. 1. They're bigger. Right now they're just slightly smaller than these and they still have a molt to go. 2. Ankarana are more agressive and will get into a threat pose and the slightest sense of your hand. The Grandidieri will freeze up, I suppose this is to camouflage where the ankaranas, being a much brighter color, stand a better chance of scaring a predator away than blending in with the enviroment.
