new arrival

well shes finally arrived my adult female vaejovis spinigerus sonorensis lol shes really fat so i dont know if she maybe a sub adult or weather shes gravid or weather she needs a diet lol will post some pics later when i got time p.s do i need a water dish in with her all the time or just once every now and then like my haddy thanks

I'd say once every now and then... except when she is gravid, then I would give her nonstop. Evaporation gives a bit more humidity which is good for scorplings or gravid females.

By the way... CONGRATS!

congrats i leave one in with our spinigerus just let it dry out and fill it once a week or so never seen her rink from it, its only a tuny bottle cap too dont worry about a large dish

Congrats mate, I agree with the others and it's what I do for mine. Have a really small cap and fill it occasionally. Keeping mine filled up constantly at the moment because she's looking suspiciously fat

yeah lol was just about to feed the little bugger and cause i moved his tank down he got a bit nasty lol hes so agressive the crickets dont stand a chance lol

Very nice new addition there matey. I definitely love this little species.

Couldn't really say if it looks gravid or premolt but does look adult to me. Maybe get some pics with a ruler or something for a size comparison, also as good of a pic as you can get of the side membrane (soft bit). Your looking for either new tergites (plates) growing underneath, you will see the edge of the new ones under the old ones which indicates pre-molt. Or if you can see black dots or white blobs irregularly could mean gravid.

thanks jamie will get a good pic of her side when shes out next and yer callum she took a while but shes worth it lol . she took longer to come as when i put the order in for her his suppliers were on holiday so she took an extra week to come lol.have you ordered any thin from him yet

No not yet. There is a few things I would quite like but I'm not going to buy anything until the shed is finished. I have had a loooooad of set backs i.e. splitting up with psycho gf and helping my Dad move house but things are starting to return to normal now so should be able to have a good crack at finishing it in the next week or 2.

well my little girls all settled in na she had her first cricket todays so shes all good lol
