| hey
i just got done opening my new slings from ken
awesome
i got a giant white knee and a chaco golden knee
both sold as .5 inch but are a little smaller more like .25 inch
when i get crickets for these two im going to have to tell petco to pick me out the smallest cricket in the bunch
they also have flightless fruit flies but i dont know what they are
they are in 16 oz. deli containers and thats kinda big for them but thats all i have.
thanks for reading
ill have to label my deli containers cuase these two kind of look similar and i could get them confused

| Flightless fruit flies are fruit flies (usually D. Melanogaster) that are captive bred in jars without the gene that gives them wings (I'm guessing). The flies will lay eggs in the food media at the bottom of the jars and hatch into larvae, then they'll pupate on the side of the jar and become flightless fruit flies. I've got three of them right now, two of them are for customers interested in buying from me. However if you want, I can send one to you in the mail for cheap (no overnight shipping necessary). They can get up to $10 at the store but the choice is up to you . | |

| yes, i'd agree but slings are like delicate babies and i'm not particulary fond of delicateness due to care lol.. besides i don't want a baby to die on me coz i didn't care for it properly. i swear i'll cry if ever that happens hahaha. i'd rather see my adult die thinking it's because of old age lol

| Feed them twice a month, with a little squirt of water here and there. They are arachnids, and as such know how to take care of themselves. If I have learned anything over the years, it is to leave them alone and let them do their own thing ( So long as you gave them a good setup from the start).
edit: I ranted, I' sure you are use to keeping spiders already.

| if you cannot get small enough crickets. use a larger cricket back legs. They will readily eat that. Its what i feed most of my slings.
Fruitflies are fine for dunking into a container with loads of slings, but picking out a couple at a time can be very tricky
Keep the chaco dryish and the white knee damp. The white knee will eat loads more and grow faster

| Spiderlings are actually very hardy. Most people think because they are tiny they are prone to die off easily and thats not really the case. | |

| If I have small slings like for example my curly hair, my giant white knee, or my salmon pink birdeater I feed them as much as they will eat and if they arent in premolt this is everyday to every other day they grow like crab grass its ridiculous! | |
