| Hey all, A month ago my H. Laoticus/petersii (don't know which one) gave birth to a bunch of babies. Until now they have been close to their mom all the time, but now they are in each their end of the terrarium. Slings in one end, and mom in the other. What i need to know, is if i have to go buy a new terrarium for the slings so she wont eat them, or are they still safe with her? - When the slings saw me, some of them ran as fast as they could down to her. And! could it really be that they are already molting again? | |

| They look to be on their way to their next moult. I personally would seperate them individually as to not run the risk of cannibalisation. | |

| When will i then be able to regroup them again? And how much room do they need, could i just use a tackle box, or should i get boxes for each scorp? | |

| It would be good to re-group them when they are sub-adult. My deli cups are 3 times the scorplings lenght, maybe less. | |

| Generally for forest scorpions: Slings/juvenile = 2-3.instar Sub-adults = 4-6.instar Adults = 7.instar For the concerns faced in your situation, you may reference the following thread for answers as Heterometrus spp can be raised the same way as Pandinus imperator: https://scorpionforum.darkbb.com/t8630-emperor-given-birth | |
