| You know how their are some scorpions that require a heat source like Emps and Desert species or else they will grow slower if kept cooler without the heat? Does their lifespan have anything to do with it? If they grow slower, will they live longer? I live in a colder place(Oregon), and so I need heat lamps and things for my tropical inverts. | |

| It's my understanding that all scorpions.will grow slower without heat all therefore live longer..I'm not sure it's necessarily has to do with the lifespan, however an increased lifespan is outweighed by complete inactivity, slower metabolism.

| I have wondered about this also. I would think any cold blooded creature would have an optimal temp for maximum lifespan. | |
