| Whenever I feed my Hadrurus Spadix he will take the cricket sting it and start eating but I check on him later and he left the cricket and is under his hide, also he will hold the cricket in one pincer and will start putting the other one in the sand he is kinda skinny so I wanna feed him. I also have a H. Arizonensis in the tank and she/he will eat right away and finish Ihave no idea what to do | |

| Do you have both scorps in the same tank? If so, they would probably do better with each in their own tank. It could be that your scorp is stressed and does not want to eat. | |

| True. They will not live together happily.
My first question is how often are you feeding him? More then once a week and he may be killing the cricket just to get rid of it. Which is why he also isn't finishing it. As owners we love to watch our scorps eat but usually it makes us over feed and stress the scorpion.

| Will they live good together if it's a male and a female? | |

| Hadrurus of the same species rarely get along in the same enclosure and housing H. spadix with H. arizonensis is just asking for trouble. Hadrurus are not communal, and, although some people have had success keeping more than one H. arizonensis in an enclosure, most attempts to do so end up in disaster. If I were you, I would put them in separate enclosures and avoid the grief of waking up one morning to find you only have one scorpion. | |

| I have had them for about 3 weeks and they get along fine and are not aggressive towards each other at all. The only time is when the H. Arizonensis reacts is when he/she is eating, but anyways thanks for the advice. | |

Thanks for the private msg but posting here works too. If it's full grown. Offer it 1 feeder cricket per week. If by the next day the cricket hasn't been hunted down and eaten remove it and wait another week.

| It's not full grown, it's about 2.5 inches with the tail extended so how long do you think I should wait?

| feed monday night if the cricket is still in the tank tuesday remove it. Try again on thursaday night and remove the cricket if it's still there on friday.
how fat is your scorpion? they don't eat when they are ready to molt.
Even if you scorpion doesn't eat for a month he will be fine.
Maybe the Hs is not eating because he doesn't want to live with your HA as they eat other scorpions.

| I agree that it would be best to house them separately. How big are they? If they are small try feeding them twice a week. If larger, once a week should be fine. Sometimes scorps will go for quite a while without eating. | |

| Separate the 2 scorpions to their own tanks. Feed anything that isn't full grown buy offering food over night twice per week. Full grown scorpions can eat once per week but sometimes choose not to. | |
