| I just got this new tarantula yesterday and the guy said it was in premolt. Well, when I woke up this morning, I noticed this white spot on the abdomen. Is that normal!?!?!?! | |

| Post a picture , I think that will help a lot.
If it is bleach white it could be fecal matter though would need a pic to confirm.

| Don't feel bad, I had a lot of trouble figuring it out also! Let me see if I can describe it: 1. have the pic on your computer. 2. open up a new post or topic. 3. use the tool bar at the top of the post window and click on "host an image" 4. click "browse" and select your pic, then hit "host it" 5. click "copy" under the "Image url" 6. select "image" under the tool bar 7. paste image code 8. hopefully that will work | |

| Its going to molt soon most likely. I would advise not handling it any until about a week after it molts. spiderlings are very delicate | |

| If she has stopped eating it may come soon, maybe in the next week or so. If she is still eating she probably has some time to go.
If and when she does molt it is best not to feed her for about a week after she molts. If you look in her cage and she is laying on her back upside down, she is not dead. That is how they molt. Do not disturb a T in this state.

| I would try to feed her (or him). If you suspect she is close to a molt I would not leave prey in her cage for long. I would offer her food and if she does not take it, take the prey out. They movement of a cricket should entice her into eating if she wants to eat. | |

| When I put a cricket in, It flings the cricket away from the burrow. It comes out at night and is pretty active during the day. It also digs a lot. Id does everything BUT eat. | |

| Sounds like it. However waiting for a T to molt is like watching a pot of water boil. It seems to take a long time when you watch it LOL. T's frequently go off feed for a while around molts. | |
