Well, the speakers would give of vibrations it that's what you mean. Sound is essentially vibrations that travel through the air or another medium. So, yes, it would affect them. But no, scorpions and Ts can't hear as we do if that's what you're asking. They simply sense the vibrations.

| And they probably don't like the vibrations. It's probably a stress trigger in that they feel an intruder and try to hide lots. making them nervous and skittish. | |

| okay i'll just move the speakers one more meter away do 2 meters away from the speakers might be enough , ya think? i don't use my speakers so often anyways just when i feel stressed and want to relax.. I asked this question cuz i think my P.Trans and my Emp are both in Pre-Molt and they might get stressed and have difficulties during the molting process, though my 3i HH had no problems during his molt to 4i btw thanks for the info yames. | |

| Some of my scorpions are also about 1m away from my speakers and they seem fine and my speakers give off a lot bass so strong vibrations. They dont seem bothered by it. All of them feed off of the tweezers so they cant be too stressed otherwise they would be skittish or aggressive. All their molts have also be successful. | |

| mm then atleast 1m away should be okay i guess.. oh since you've mentioned about the tweezers , we're alot the same since I started this hobby last january i've always been tweezer feeding my scorps or at least disable their preys a bit. by disabling for crickets I rip off they're hind legs one or both for roaches I sqeeze they're heads a bit or cut some of they're legs using nipper scissors....well. it depends on the status of my scorp mm... i've been wondering since the hunt's bein too easy for them don't you think they might become noobs in hunting food? ..,next week i'll try feeding my scorps with undisabled preys to make sure they're hunting skills are still sharp it would be just like an exam for them heh if they don't catch they're prey = they starve then if they caught the feeds = hooray for them!! | |

| Scorpions don't learn or forget how to hunt prey. It's hardwired into them. If they're hungry, healthy and prey is available, they will manage to catch it. I haven't read a post on any of the boards of a scorpion starving to death.
I use to tong feed my Emperor when I first got it. Like most new owners, I wanted to make sure it was eating, and, it was the only time I actually got to see it (well, half of it anyway). Now, I just drop 3 or 4 crickets into the tank every 10 days or so. Only rarely have I had to remove an uneaten cricket.
