| Hey Guys and Gals,
I just had my emp out for the first time and once I put it back in the enclosure there was a clear liquid or something on the floor where it was.. It was literally only out for a few seconds as I wanted a couple of pics on my hand :/
Any ideas what it was? | |

| It could be scorpion "blood", do check for any potential injury on your scorpion. | |

| Ill give it a once over tonight once I get home from work.. How could this have happened though? I used a plastic tub to get her out of her enclosure she she walked out of the tub onto the floor herself. | |

| Sure it's not something that was already there, and has nothing to do with the scorpion? How much of this liquid was there? | |

| It definately wasnt there before as I made sure I cleared an area where I got her out? It was directly under her after she moved. She seemed OK the whole time and I couldnt see anything on her though.. | |

| Hmmm I have an idea but don't quote me on it ..
Perhaps it was some residual water that was on her body from the substrate/enclosure? Do you mist your P. Imperator's enclosure to keep the humidity up? Misting leaves the substrate damp. Or perhaps she had some water on her from sitting on / walking over her water dish?

You could be right. I do mist her enclosure for humidty and she could have possibly been in the water dish as she was out and about before I disturbed her. Ill take a look later and see how she is | |

| Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt scorpion blood actually blue? Also, I know that they defecate near the top of their stingers, but I dont know how or even if they urinate. Just saying, it could be a possibility. | |
