| Looks like a Heterometrus petersii to me.
It's not a spinifer, H. spinifer normally have red telsons (However, there are exceptions to this) and there is no pronounced internal tubercle on the patella on this individual. (H. petersii has a internal tubercle on the patella but it's not pronounced. Your second pic shows this quite clearly.) I can see granulation on the carapace, so that rules out H. laoticus. | |

| Thank you for your reply. I have studied the links over and over and come to the conclusion that I think you are right about them being petersii. They are definately not spinifers. Thanks for your help. | |
