| im in the austin texas area and am looking to get a hand held blacklight does anyone have any suggestions on a good light and a link to where i may buy one. or if there is any place in my local area where i could pick one up | |

| I got this really nice one on Amazon. It has two strengths of UV (High/Low) plus a bright white xenon bulb if you want that on. It cost about $45. http://amzn.com/B0009JVQE6 This one has a noticibly different wavelength of UV, but is the one I used in AZ to find my scorpions and it works great! It cost around $16. http://amzn.com/B001Q70A0G They both light 'em up like Vegas in the desert. | |

| thanks for the suggestions i bought the twin task 3c and it arrived yesterday i tried it out last night but did not find any on my first hunt going out again tomorrow. out of the two lights you posted which do you like the best and if you dont mind can you explain why. | |

I liked the Twin task the best because of the stronger UV, and the built-in white light. And I guess I get a kick out of hot gadgets like that. The simpler flashlight obviously worked fine, but it's just cooler with the fancy one. haha. Sorry for late reply. | |
