Thanks! She's my first invert, I've had her for almost five years. She's pretty big too. She molted a while ago and her exoskeleton was over five inches.

I was going to say lazy feeder after the first vid The second one proved me wrong.
Sorry for being dumb, but which avicularia is this? Avic avic?
My wife fell in love for a versicolor sling, but when the breeder told her it will lose the awesome blue colouring, she lost interest
I'm waiting the guy to get some metallicas soon and we'll probably take some. She just seems to love blue Ts (well, I'm not that different either )

Yeah, she always attacks superworms very slow, but put in a cricket.......

She's an A. metallica. My camera doesn't pick up the silvery-white setae on her for some reason. I wish I had some pictures of her right after a molt, her carapace and legs are dark blue, almost the same color as this text.
However, I think in 2013, an Avicularia revision will go into effect and A. metallica will not be a valid species. It will probably be considered a color morph of A. avicularia. Perhaps it will be considered a subspecies. (Avicularia avicularia metallica?) If anyone has more information on what will happen to A. metallica after the revision, please post it.

Sadly no, I have not mated her. My parents don't want me to mate any of my inverts. However if my local pet-store gets another mature male...... I might buy it and breed them anyway.
