| Hi! Yesterday i tried to mate my big female A.avicularia with a little male I have borrowed. Made a little movie from the attempt, but because of our fluorescent lightning and an old Sony cybershot digitl camera, as a recorder, the outcome was`nt that good. https://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e305/_Nagash_/Mine%20Taranteller/Avicularia%20avicularia/Avicularia%20avicularia%20parring%20250508/?action=view¤t=Aviculariaaviculariaparring250508u.flv Introducing the male to the females terrarium. Beautiful little guy. Finaly inside her enclosure. Searching searching.... Still searching... About this time, we could hear a loud drumming sound from the female. The male was also drumming, but we could not hear him. Then, she started to look for the male. Still searching.... Finaly, the found each other, and the mating was about to start. I think this was the time for the "insertion". Right after the insertion, the male ran away to safty, and I helped him out of his enclosure. I think this was a successful mating, but will try again if the female seems receptive. regards Robin | |

| Nice job! I guess someone likes BBW. I always think the funniest thing about mating Ts is as soon as the male is finished he runs away as if to say "LEMMEE OUT LEMMEE OUT LEMMEE OUT!!!" | |

Congratulations! and wonderful looking enclosure! I hope soon you will be rewarded with an unreceptive female because she will be knocked up from the first mating xxxxxxxx The enclusure setup is acutally one of the easiest ways to do it. Just put in a pice of corkbark and a nice plant, provide some decent lighting so the plant thrives, and spray from time to time. The plant helps alot in keeping the humidity high. Regards Robin

| Nice pics and enclosure! And I must say [WOW], that's a lot of T's! IMO, the best way to do lighting is to get it next to the window with the sun shining through. Works wonders with my i733 in macro mode.

Nothing yet, but after a while they will eat fruitflies, and hopefully not each other. Regards Robin
