One step closer

My sub adult female R.garridoi moulted on saturday so that's one step closer to my first garridoi brood.
For those that are interested, i brought 2 pairs in at instar 5 last year, 25th of october. The sub adult males moulted to adult on the 16th and 22nd of december, the females to sub adult on 10th and 11th of december (close eh). Now the first female has moulted to adult here on the 10th of march..110 days from sub adult to adult..Pretty quick i think.

They're being kept apart for the next couple of weeks or so, so that the female can harden up and begin eating and get used to her new, adult status enclosure..then it'll be a mating they go..

Thanks shadowfoot .. She started eating already a week after moulting and here 2 weeks later i've mated her. It went just fine.

I've uploaded a video of the mating to youtube. The actual mating only took 25 minutes but i've clipped it down to a 8½ minute video and as far as i can see it's the only youtube video of a garridoi mating.
