| I got very excited last night whilst feeding the scorpions. 2 great surprises in one go. First up one of my Iomachus politus has given birth to 18 young. I've only had her a few weeks. She was the smallest of the bunch I received and not particularly fat so I certainly wasn't expecting to find this................ A serious bundle on her back, and neatly lined up in 3 rows. The next nice find was with my Chaerilus celebensis. Less of a surprise as I have been expecting her to pop for a long time but I'm still obviously very happy................... Her a couple of weeks ago. And now. I think I can make out at least 16 babies on her back. They are going to be fun to find when they moult to 2i and disperse around the enclosure haha. Tiny things they are. | |

| Haha yes it's quite a load for them. But unfortunately I can't lay claim to breeding either of them. Both are WC and I was just lucky enough to have them give birth whilst in my care. I have been desperate to breed something myself for ages but instead all I'm getting is WC females popping out babies. I've also got 2 broods of Euscorpius alpha lol. Still, can't complain. Babies are always good lol. I could record their development in the breeding reports if you would like ??? | |

| Successfully nurtured a brooding mom take effort too. Instar size... days to reach 2.instar.. days taken to dismount after reaching 2.instar.. would be interesting. Just an idea. I know your reports will be filled with pics so it's going to be a juicy read! Once you hit a full cycle, it'll be time for an ASA instead. No hurry though. Take your time. Enjoy your new broods Callum | |

| Thanks mate. Look forward to your write-ups too. You have some rare and gorgeous species there. We can't own all the scorpions in the world, but these write-ups brings us closer to them.. so.. why not share? Again, no hurry. Back to your topic. I love to guess the numbers.. My bet on the brood size.. Chaerilus celebensis has 21 slings Iomachus politus has 27 slings | |
