| heya, congrats. Do you know what size you are going to get? are you picking it up at a petstore or getting it shipped to you? They are pretty easy to take care of just keep warm and humid. If you have any specific questions im sure everyone will be happy to answer. | |

| its actually a pregnant female but im pretty sure its sub adult cuz its stinger isnt the darkest wen i get it ill take pics but im gettin it from a local pet store and what exacly should the humidity be at ive seen ppl say 50-60% and some ppl say 80-90% when there molting and some say use 80-90% all the time what i was kinda thinkin is 60-80% more closer to the 70-75% mark if anything | |

| Found yourself in a pickle actually. A scorpion wont be pregnant sub-adult. You are right about the color of the telson to see if it is an adult. Odds are it is going to molt soon or has been given a ton of food. I keep the humidity at 70-80% . With plexi glass or saran wrap or a solid top you can achieve that easily.
PS: Save you a lot of trouble, don't listen to local pet store on care info for inverts ( not that all are bad but a very large % care for inverts wrong)

| ok that sucks but i will post pics because im still not 100% sure if its a female and if an adult it may be because it was hard to see because the lady was stupid and useing tongs to hold it by the tale and i started freaking out so instead of saying something i bumped into her on accident so she dropped it. it was like a oops sorry moment cough cough haha but yah then i saw the cage it had like half an inch of coco fiber and the other one had cedar and i was like oh my gosh these people are really dumb. so im buying the one not on cedar because the one on cedar was like dragging its tail and im like its probaly going to die soon so yah i cant wait to get it get it a nice big home with a nice water bowl two hides and 4 inches of coco fiber on one side and 6 inches on the other cant wait to get it a good home. And so i should just wrap like the half of the top with out the lamp with saran wrap | |

Thats the care sheet ive been going by. And its pretty easy to follow. But there are alot of other caresheets out there, just have to do a little searching. Plenty of emperor pics on here too. You could use saran wrap if you wanted, but a piece of plexi glass or acrylic works good too.
