Moss? Empty
PostSubject: Moss?   Moss? Empty11/30/2011, 11:54 am

Howdy All,
I was wondering, is there a way I could get moss to grow on the rocks and such in my Emp tank for humidity and aesthetic appeal? If so, how would I go about it? Their tank needs some decoration and I thought maybe moss would be a good idea. Thanks all!

Hey Wyatt.

I bought some of that pillow moss from the Reptile Expo I went to, and I've placed it in areas on top of my coco fiber (corners of the tank, near the water dish, etc) and I just water it from time to time and it seems to be doing well.

I did have a piece on top of one of the hides for a while but ended up moving it to a place where more soil was for it to settle into.

If that helps.

Hey Annababe

I'll look into getting some of that moss, That actually helped alot cause I didn't know how I was gonna do it. lol. Anyways, I'll see if I can't track some down and I'll get some pics up when I get the tank decorated.

Most big pet stores sell this nice green moss that soaks up water well. It's different than the dry loose looking sphagnum moss. It comes in clumps and is dark green.
