| well im worried about my adult emp he never eats and ever since i put in a new hide i havent seen him come out from under it which was probably around 2 weeks ago the little one still comes out daily and will either walk around or sit at the front of the hide and i was wondering why it hasnt molted at all yet? iv had it for atleast 2 or 3 months it was eating alot for awhile and then just stopped eating and would just crush the crickets and then leave them to die on the ground of the tank | |

| As far as the adult emp is concerned i wouldnt worry too much , they will tend to spend a long long time in their burrows or hides. They can also fast for 6 months or more. Emperors will just stop eatting all of a sudden. With the little one it would depend on how much it is eatting , temp in the tank and the current size it is right now, obviously when they are very young the molts have little time in between. Its possible it could be coming up on a molt though. Lack of eatting could do with stress, molting , or just the emperor's nature. I wouldnt worry too much. | |

| If it just kills them but doesn't eat, I would say he's just not hungry. You say it was eating a lot, how much is a lot? How often do you offer food? | |

| I agree with the peeps above. Just to add, 2-3 feeder a day is like power-feeding a growing scorp.. For adult emps, treat them like old man.. regular porridge meals at correct intervals is good for maintaining a balance diet for them.. buying them fries and fried chicken for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper isn't gonna do them any good.. although it will not kill them immediately.. but still.. not recommended As for the smaller one, what instar is it now? or size if you do not have the exact instar. | |
