| Awesome scorps buddy. I love centruroides, and these are definitely one of the best looking ones.
So they are born orange, and they turn black as they mature? | |

| Another scorp I need. Rather interesting that they are born orange and turn black as they mature. Great pics as always, GS. | |

| Hey bud, I feed all my slings with B.lateralis nymph and juvenile crickets. This first brood of C.nigrescens is not big, only 19 but each sling is of large size (body length itself is abt 8mm) hence makes feeding alot easier once they hit 2.instar. | |

| Thanks bro. I think I'll have to stop any plans for Centruroides until my lateralis colony doesn't start breeding. I just lost 3 C. hentzis this week, two 3i's and one 4i. These are the only scorpions until now that I've had problems with feeding. The only thing I've been able to get them to take without problems was micro cricket (1-2mm), but I can't buy these locally and I no longer breed them.

| Oh.. sry about your loss bro.. Are you able to get more males for your colony to speed things up? Can you get juvenile crickets locally? about 1-2cm in size.. just a slight headcrush will do Early instar barks can take them too.. .. cos the crickets are still soft and chewy at that size | |

| I pretty much won't be able to get much until the spring, getting too cold and risky to ship. The one I have left is only 3i, so I'll try to get atleast an adult couple when the winter is over. Or that or a bunch of slings again. I can sometimes get juvi crickets. Maybe I could try with a headcrushed roach, but these seem to be scared of big food! Definitely not a best first experience with barks for me, but I will not give up | |

| That's the spirit! In the coming spring.. these little C.nig should be adults & ready to be re-housed as well | |
