| yes its the same scorp and is adult female. it was gravid when i bought it. and then it aborted? had still born? young. I observed it eating what appeared to be scorpion embyos. it has since plumped backup like it may be gravid again although i am unsure if this species stores sperm | |

| AFAIK Andros can not store sperm. Maybe you should get a male too and mate her | |

Actually A. australis can store sperm. My first adult female was WC and gave birth 3 times (I only had the one the entire time since it's so figgen hard to get em here), all with disastrous consequences unfortunately, but goes to show they can do it. Not sure about other sub species.

Thats interesting So all this while you only had an A.australis WC female (gravid) and she gave birth 3 times? Did you managed to note down any stats like.. 1) The number of A.australis scorplings for each of the 3 broods 2) The time interval between the broods

| naw, it was over a 2 yearish period though, couldnt get a count since I always caught the tail end of her eating them and she would never make a birthing crater like bicolors to tell me she was about to. I was able to save 5 the last time but they died a few days after. Wishing I did note things down now though, that was back in the days of inexperience of the details.
Will be having a 14 individual breeding group this winter though, i'll test it out and mate one female and quarantine it after the first brood.
