| Edit! i know this is a c.keyserlingi caresheet but i beleive you treat bothrurius the same...our b.burmeisteri was kept in these conditipns they are all from chili so?? Common Name: Red Pigmy Scorpion. Range: Chilean scorpion, Huasco, Chile. Type: Terrestrial burrowers. Communal: No. Temperament: Docile and nervous. Toxicity / Venom: Low. Growth: Medium speed. Adult scorpion size: 3-4cm Housing Requirements: As this is a small species they can be kept in quite small tanks, a tank 6x5 inches will be fine. Substrate: 30/70 sand/coco fibre mix. Decor: Slate, rocks, cork bark, water bowl. Temperature Range: 16-22° C Humidity Range: 60-65%. Breeding Difficulty: Medium. Diet: A scorpions diet should consist mainly of live food insects such as crickets, locusts, butter worms, mealworms, super worms, and cockroaches. Additional information: As with most arachnids, it is important to keep your scorpion away from direct UV light. This species is especially sensitive to UV light, and such exposure will cause stress and ultimately death. Infrared heat bulbs are safe to use. | |

| no bex, you say use a heat lamp, and the pics are cast in red so i thought they were being heated same as why i don't heat my Grammostola rosea i was looking, even though chile is warm lol, inverts tend to live mainly in burrows no warmer than a cold uk day lol and it's in the southern hemisphere so the seasons are opposite | |

| Those are pretty much the temps I have in my backyard. California and Chile are the same distance from the Equator. They have Christmas in summer, which I think is a splendid idea. I hear their toilets flush backwards, and I'm not sure what side of the road they drive on. | |
