| I got home today to find 1 of my L.Q's had given birth. I knew she was gravid but didn't think she was gonna pop anytime soon. Well the problem is that I think something must have spooked her cause the majority of the brood is roaming around the enclosure. There are 9 still on her back which leads me to believe that she didn't refuse her brood. I have only experienced this once before with A. australis but all the babies were off of her and dead when I returned home. All of the L.Q babies seem to be very lively but I know they are sure to die without the help of mom. Is there anything I can do or are all of them pretty much goners ? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

| Try to gather them up and keep them on a slightly moist paper towel. I remember reading this on another forum. | |

| No. I don't think they need it. They should have some sort of embryo yolk sack or something that feeds them. | |

| Mom is standing over the brood and it looks like a few more have climbed back up on her hopefully the rest will to. They all seem to be lively moving around alot. | |

| Maybe. What I meant to say is that each individual scorpion should have it's own sack. They are born with their individual yolk attached. You main concern is dehydration. Keeping them on a moist paper towel should help them through that. | |

| I should also say that I have no personal experience with this, and that I am dredging this information up from the depths of my brain. | |

| Thanks Street when mom moves from them I'll cage the rest and try the moist paper towel but now I'm gonna leave them alone don't want mom getting stressed. New count 15 are back on the mom. Hopefully the rest follow them up a few more are trying from the looks of it. | |

| Thanks Street That was very helpful but now there appear to be about 20 back on mom and about 15 or so under her so hopefully all will work out. Whatever ones that don't make it back on mom I'll try what that guy telow said. Thank You again Street | |

| Just checked and now there is only 7 left off of mom but she is still standing over them so I can't get them. They don't seem to be moving so it looks pretty grim for them, but a loss of 7 out of a brood of 30+ isn't so bad I guess. Thank you again for the help Street | |

| If you have this happening then dont panic, if the mothers allows babies on her back, she will allow the drop outs to climb back on too. And they will when they get scared or dried up.
Would do the moist paper trick if the mother is not allowing the babies to climb her or she is eating them. | |

| Have faith bro. Mr XxAwesomexX had a recent P.trans brood with all abandoned kids on the substrate.. In the end, it all works out with very little losses.. Hope it works out the same for you | |

| Alright this really sucks I just checked in to see if they are all alright and the same thing as before all were off wandering around. I scooped them all up and they seem to be lively and healthy but WTF this is just frustrating. Street thank you for that link Bro cause I'd be F ing clueless what to do if not for that. Hopefully all goes well cause this is my first L.Q brood this year and already off to a bad start. | |

| They're still 1i but are walking around with their tails up in defense mode but starting to get some yellow color. All seem to be healthy they run around the deli cup very fast. Unfortunately I only found 17, so mom had to have eaten the others. | |
