| This is a shot in the dark, but it may be Caraboctonus or most likely Bothriurus. I could be wrong, however, as I'm not an expert on Bothriuridae. I hope this helps. | |

| Second pic at a guess and a quick internet search Neochactas delicatus http://invertimports.co.uk/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=117 .
Where did you see them both?

| this is a scorpion, from invert imports that has been identified as a separate, unknown species i like both of them, jake won't sell them until he gets a positive id i don't think it's the same as that though, since it's a different thing on his list | |

| Ahhh right. Well it can't be Neochactas then, although they do look extremely similar. I really like the first scorpion. I've not spotted them on his website. Where abouts do they both originate from?? | |

| Yer finally lol. The babies started shedding and leaving mums back yesterday. Tis all very exciting although I haven't a clue what I am going to do with them yet in terms of housing and feeding them lol. I think I'm placing an order with Jake tomorrow for an Opistophthalmus lamorali. Although I very much likey the scorpion in the top pic lol. | |

| Yer if you want some course I'll send you a couple. I'm gonna grow them on a little before I think about posting though. Providing I have success at raising them lol. I'd go for the sp. Chile beauty. It has really nice colouration plus I've never seen one for sale before. | |

| Only that I think I made the mistake of removing them from mum I think as they're so small they are incredibly hard to feed and climatize and maybe she helps, I believe this is part of the reason the stay on mum as well as for protection prof tim Benton has written many papers on these and he thinks mum has a lot to do with them making it through the first molt by somehow keeping them In the correct t condition, he took a lot from the wall and set up a wall in a lab and did some interesting studies it's an interesting read if you look him up | |

Then took babies of females and split broods in half to see how they coped in different conditions? I could have a look tomorrow and get liknks to them all but took a while to search through the list to find his papers lol

| Right, I thought I would post the little info I know about them ( Thanks for taking the time to try and ID them, and thanks Tom, for starting the thread ) they are both being sold as Broteochactas sp. by my supplier, with a note stating that genus isn't 100%. one is Broteochactas sp "pale leg", and the other Broteochactas sp "dark leg" They are pictures of the adults so shouldn't change in colouration much ( if any ) the both originate from Guyana ----------------------------------------------- Hopefully that's some help to someone. ( Scorps aren't my thing really ) Jake | |
