| Ive recently learned that I have 2 diff species of Scorpions in one tank, should I separate them? This is what I have...theyre all WC...within 15 ft of my house... 6 C.Sculpts 3 H.Arizonenis (sp?) So far Ive had no problems with them fighting or eating eachother, with exception to one tiny guy the adults got ahold of.....The burrowers dig & the Climbers climb... Thats how I figures out that I had 2 kinds in the 1st place. Ive learned to keep the babies apart...but if theyre all approx the same size they seem to be ok... Am I wrong on this?

| They will more than likely be a good community until one day they aren't. The H arizonensis will grow to be significantly larger that the C. sculpts. The problems will more than likely begin when they molt. A molting scorpion makes a delicious easy meal for a hungry scorp. I'd separate them just to be safe, but if you don't want to, then don't. They do occur naturally in the same habitat, but probably end up as dinner for each other every so often as well. | |

| Well I would highly recommend separating them because all it takes is for one to wander off in the other territory and then you'll end up with dead scorpions. The thing that's probably allowed them to live communal this long is you probably have enough hides/space for both and then to add the fact they're both native to Arizona.
I would separate them. | |

| They live within inches of eachother on my property, literally... Theres 40 ft of land so full of Burrows it looks like Swiss Cheese & it slopes down into a line of Oleander trees, which apparently are perfect for perching in..lol I have no intent on turning them into pets..So I'll just keep them fed & watch for any trouble brewing.... | |

you should seperate them, you asked, so you got an answer Spinnin is right dude.. its going to be carnage sooner or later. If you dont keep them fed like hogs, even more soon than late.. But for the time being, it might be a great sight of them all together. I know I would like it. | |
