Water dish for scorpions

Does anyone know if terra cotta pots are ok as water dishes? I have these little tiny ones i fill with gravel and then top off with water. They work great in small cages, just wanna make sure terra cotta is ok as a water dish and wont seep anything into the water that's dangerous. Thanks.

The terra cotta dish I used wouldn't hold water for more that 4 or 5 hours. It may have just
been my particular dish. I found that small dipping bowls also make good water dishes and can
be had for less than $2. Unfortunately, white seems to be the prevalent color.

Hmm you are right the standard terra cotta pots seem to lose the water fast. Guess ill need another alternative!

on the subject of pain as mentioned before people pain tolerances differ but you also have to take into effect the anticipation issue... as in if you expect to be stung it will hurt nowhere near as badly as unexpected as you had time to mentally prepare yourself for the sting... here is a thought though... scorpions have that ability to sting as a defense and from what i see we are trying to eliminate the fear of their defense no matter how minute it may already be which will in turn make a non venomous scorpion completely safe in appearance which will also remove alot of the mystery and fascination with such a beautiful creature and i dont think anybody wants that...
