Anything good near Atlanta, GA or Jackson, AL?

So work is sending me to the South for most of June . . . first a three-day class in Atlanta, then two weeks in Jackson, Alabama.

Does anyone know where I might find any Centruroides hentzi while I'm down there, or anything else interesting? They sent me to a paper mill near L.A. in April and I found a bunch of Latrodectus hesperus and one L. geometricus, and I'm guessing I'll be able to find some more of those.

I also have a friend who wants me to keep an eye out for green lynx spiders.

I'm actually from La, and I know people around that area that go scorpion hunting. C. hentzi's are native to Fl, Al, Ga & Sc but you're not likely going to find anything in the city areas, you'd have more luck in the more country areas.

Jackson has a population of less than 6000, so there may be a chance there. The mill I'm visiting is the largest employer there.

The class isn't in Atlanta proper but it's a pretty big sprawl down there . . . I guess I'll save my blacklight for Jackson.
