The bucket has been kicked.

My fears were realised today when Lawrence, my H. Arizonensis, died.

I was expecting it however, as for the past couple of weeks he's been slow and generally lifeless, and he'd lost so much weight there was practically nothing left of him. I put prey in the tank, and he'd make absolutely no attempt to even swat it away. Normally he'd still attack prey even if he's not hungry, but things changed recently. He'd sit in the corner all day, every day, occasionally shifting the sand with his tail, but that was the most active he'd been.

On a much lighter note my other three scorpions are doing absolutely brilliantly, and I expect them to live for many years to come.
