At what instar do you see the granulation on the chelae?

Quick question.. Is the granulation on emps' chelae clear even in early instars? My female is maybe 3i or 4i, and maybe 5-6cm total length and I can't see any granulation whatsoever. Could it be that it is just not visible coz she's small, or do I possibly have het. Sorry, she's hiding ATM o can't get any good pics.

Definitely no significantly visible granulation for early instars of 2-3i, i would say from 4-5i onwards

I'm probably getting a male juvi for her tomorrow, don't know how different in size though. I suppose it is the best to house them separate until they are both sub-adults or adults. Right?

I would, mine are all separated by size.

I guess I need to make a trip to the glass shop then... have 3 or 4 scorps coming in tomorrow, and one more in two weeks or so

yea, mine first started showing granulation at 4i
