Can I sex AA when it is 5i old? besides counting its pectine. I noticed that it has a V cut shaped pedipalps and somewhat narrower
Apologies my friend.. i only sex A.australis (AA) by pectine count. If its hard to do a underside shot of your AA, what Envyizm bro suggested by breaking off pectines (from the molt skin) with a razorblade and put it under a 60x or better microscope works great too

hey guys.....I decided to check on all my girls today and when all was said and done 4 of my A.australis had babies and one of my L.Q. also, so I have most of the plings seperated and thats about 100, but of 1 of th A.As still has her whole brood(they havent left her back yet) and another has about half. all in all I am guessing around 150 total Androconus australis babies, I havent been able to count the L.Qs as they are still with mom but looks like around 60. all I can say is WOW.........god I wish they were communal...lmao......but anyway... if any of you guys know anybody who wants to trade im looking for vipers and cobras.... and I live in South Florida...............but here is a question.....
some of the plings are a different color than most of the rest.........they are lighter......same size 2nd instar, but lighter in color........any guesses why..........thanks guys oh yeah I still have 4 more gravid female A.A. and two gravid L.Q. I think its gona be a long summer...lol

oh yeah and to answer one of my earlier questions......Androc. austr. does not have to be "fully grown" to become gravid..........I have one that is alot smaller than the others, but she had the largest brood....
