Mixing Substrate & Plants Empty
PostSubject: Mixing Substrate & Plants   Mixing Substrate & Plants Empty4/10/2011, 11:01 am

I know Eco Earth Coconut Fiber alone is sufficient but, is there anything anyone would recommend to make it even better? Perhaps even give it a more natural look as a forest floor?

Also I know there are other posts regarding plant life in a enclosure but I seem to be getting conflicting answers. What is easy to maintain and works well with the condition of an P. Imperator? I want some moss too, any recommendations on that?

I have a Ficus Pumila with my emp, and it seems to enjoy the temperature and moisture in the enclosure.

pothos plants are best and most people will say the same, they can grow in straight water so substrate isnt 100% needed and they can handle the higher temperatures in a P imps enclosure.

like 4 bucks at a walmart, but a small/medium pot for a buck too and use that if you want to keep the potting soil.

You can buy a brick of moss for a few bucks, I have some moss in mine too but its in such a small corner (it covers hide rock hide that he NEVER uses)
