| Ok so I'am planning to set up my scorp tank very soon I currently have 2 bags of peat dirt however it is nowhere near enough, I have been advised that using an eco brick etc. would be a better to use so before I buy more peat I wondered would it be possible to mix the peat with say some eco brick? | |

| Yes, you can do that but in my experience, 100% coco fibre is much better for both burrows and holding humidity. I also think it is more aesthetically pleasing. | |

Well, no one will argue that it doesn't look better and more natural than peat, and it is great for burrowing so I don't know what you're on about saying no.

Well, no one will argue that it doesn't look better and more natural than peat, and it is great for burrowing so I don't know what you're on about saying no. you listed why cocofiber beats peat. but In most cases peat holds burrows a little better, not saying cocofiber doesnt hold burrows, because it does. My emp is on ecoearth right now, but when i use peat it holds up better.

| Ok that's fine. All I was saying was that in my own personal experience of both, I found coco fibre better for burrows. But that's why we've got these forums eh? So that the OP can get not only a right answer but mixed opinions on what different people do/use. | |
