| If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Just give them a few days to settle in, pictures of the setup and all would be helpful too just if you ever needed more advice.

It's not at all uncommon for them to not finish prey off, or to even leave certain body parts behind.

Actually this site is quite dead as well, only a few people really post. The site you're referring to isn't my site as I've talked to the people who post since they've registered, my sites new, and looks way better, along with having more threads to post in for stuff instead of having to use different forums. Edit: And my sites only about a week and a half old.

| i wil post some pics when i have a bitmore time but for now this is a description of my setup i have a 60x45x45cm all glass terrarium with a mesh top with eco earth as substrate i have 2 hides that are part buried with a layer of forest moss to camoflage them i also have a exo terra heat lamp with a 40 w inferred heat bulb my temp stays between 80 -86f and my humidity is normaly 75 - 90 accordin to gage i know its ok as the cooco fiber is damp to touch and if i squeze it a few drops of water comes out i did have a prob keeping the humidity in but solved it by tapeing 3/4 of the terrarium lid up and coverin it with a towel the humidity dosent drop below 70 at all anymore the hides are placed 1 on the warmer side and the other on the cool side they are both huddled together at the moment (the scorps i mean lol) i also have 2 shallow water dishes one on each side i know i only need one but put one on the warmer side and i think it helps a little with the humidity i also have a few fake plants for decoration well guys wot do u think any advice would be welcome | |

Sweet I've got 3 beardies, kept them for over 10 years now. Defiantly the best pet lizard.

| those gauges are very unreliable even some of the digital ones are, I placed a digital one right on a soaked patch of coco fiber in the enclosure and it said humidity was only 50
Just go by touch
You want some decent ventilation just cover about 50% of the top if you are that worried
If its damp to the touch then its fine imo

| yeah i love beardies lol wanna expand my collection though i want a pair of frillies there cool lol nice one rob i know those gagues are pretty useless just use them as a guide line mate but like i said before the coco fiber feels pretty damp and when i squeze it few drops of water come out so im pretty sure the humidity is ok as for the ventelation my terrarium is a exo terra one with the mesh lid but it also has a ventalation system on the front of it thats why i taped 3/4 of mesh lid up cause it still got plenty of ventalation thanks for ur views every one i appraciate them all | |
